Paul Brown is an up-and-coming attorney in the field of wage and hour class actions, PAGA actions, and arbitration. Mr. Brown’s practice also includes representing plaintiffs in wrongful termination, discrimination, and retaliation matters. He also handles consumer class actions. Since joining our firm Mr. Brown has spearheaded multiple successful class certification motions and guided dozens of class settlements through final approval.
Before joining EmpLaw in 2022, Mr. Brown built a solo practice specializing in California employment law compliance and policy development for small business throughout California. His entrepreneurial background gives him unique insight into both sides of employment disputes, helping him to effectively negotiate resolutions for our clients. He also developed expertise in trademark law, helping clients protect their intellectual property.
A North County San Diego native, Mr. Brown earned his undergraduate degree from New York University in 2014 before graduating from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2021. His legal education featured specialized study in wrongful convictions and police interrogation tactics, reflecting his commitment to justice and fair treatment under the law.
When not advocating for clients, Paul enjoys wilderness backpacking, fly fishing, yoga, and rock-climbing. He also volunteers with his local elementary school, assisting science teachers with implementing the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Classroom Aquarium Education Program.
